Sandustry Controls & Keyboard Shortcuts

Sandustry has no redeem codes — it is a single-player factory game. What you need instead are the controls that drive building, mining, and automation. Here is the keyboard reference for the demo and Early Access.

Core Controls

These are the core keys you will use constantly. Tap <strong>Copy</strong> to keep them handy.

S
Descend one tile to dig deeper into the world
R
Toggle build mode (linear vs rectangular)
X
Remove or demolish a tile / machine
Shift
Marquee select + skip launcher outlets
U
Open the upgrade menu

How to Set Up Your First Shaker Line

  1. Mine Sand from Sandsoil terrain with your digging tools.
  2. Combine the Sand with Water to make Wet Sand (1 Sand + 1 Water = 2 Wet Sand).
  3. Place a Shaker on a diagonal and drop the Wet Sand across it.
  4. Collect the Gold that falls through and route the leftover Slag down a separate belt.
  5. Spend the Gold on Research (Refining 1 first) to unlock Shakers, conveyors, and more.
